They responded to requests from tourists who could not return to their homes on Thursday and Friday
Mazatlán, Sin.- The Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, attended tourists who were stranded in Mazatlán after the violent events in the state due to the capture of Ovidio Guzmán, in Culiacán.
The head of Sedectur, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, reported that on Friday they responded to requests from tourists who could not return to their homes on Thursday, January 5 and Friday, January 6.
He added that there were some businessmen from Buenos Aires who also joined to provide care to a total of more than 350 people, including the Tres Islas Hotel Association, who supported the care of particular cases, since there were visitors who could not get out on board of its buses, for which 15 rooms were made available completely free of charge, giving priority to the elderly and the disabled.
It was not until Friday night that the runs at the bus station began to normalize.
The tourists attended were from Mexico City, Torreón, Guanajuato, among other cities.
A total of 350 tourists were attended, there was support with meals for 150 people and 15 hotel rooms were made available completely free of charge.
