The president of the Tres Islas Hotel Association called to join forces, so that “black Thursday” does not affect the image of Mazatlán

Mazatlán, Sin.- Due to the violent events in Sinaloa from last Thursday after the capture of drug trafficker Ovidio Guzmán, tourists who had hotel reservations in Mazatlán rescheduled their visits.

The president of the Tres Islas Hotel Association, José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, assured that there were no cancellations for the weekend, only reservations were rescheduled.

He stated that the sector will join forces in favor of the tourist activity of Mazatlán and celebrated the preventive actions that the authorities of the three levels of government took in a timely manner in favor of the community itself and tourists, which achieved that today the destination is operating normally and no incidents to regret.

“Mazatlán has five consecutive years recovering from the arrival of cruise ships, with growth in hotel occupancies and real estate investments, generating permanent jobs and historical economic activity that have made the port one of the 5 favorite destinations nationwide. Without a doubt, it is thanks to the teamwork that has been achieved between the state government, municipal government, and private initiative, precisely this union will do what is necessary to get ahead,” he said.

Safe destination

Manguart Sánchez is confident that Mazatlán will come out stronger and that this growth will continue for the next few years in terms of tourism.
