After the events that occurred after the capture of the son of “El Chapo” Guzmán, the town of Jesús María was liberated

After hours of uncertainty and anxiety, the Army finally released the block it had imposed on Jesús María.

Last Thursday there was a lot of terror in Jesús María, since Ovidio Guzmán López had been captured, which led to a confrontation between armed groups and elements of the Army. Since then, the town was besieged by the military.

There were hours of uncertainty that the residents went through, since they were left totally isolated, unable to enter or leave that place, since it was being guarded by the same soldiers, who were expecting a second attack by organized crime.

The facts

During the early hours of Thursday, January 5, elements of SEDENA and the Army, in coordination with other federal and state corporations, deployed an operation in the Jesús María town located north of Culiacán to arrest Ovidio Guzmán, son of “El Chapo” Guzmán, who had already been captured and released due to the wave of violence unleashed by criminal groups demanding his release on October 17, 2019.

There were more than 10 hours in which the people of Culiacan and the inhabitants of Jesús María experienced moments of panic, since the detonations of firearms did not stop, and they only had to wait for the reports provided by Public Security.

After the nightmare, the military left Jesús María with the applause of the inhabitants, as a form of celebration after having remained in confinement for more than 24 hours.

In a video broadcast through social networks, you can see how the elements of the army parade to leave the place, at the same time they receive applause from the inhabitants who are still scared by everything that happened.
