The head of the Secretariat of National Defense of Mexico, Luis Cresencio Sandoval, gave details about the operation that ended with the capture of Ovidio Guzmán, son of Chapo Guzmán and leader of the criminal group “Los Menores” related to the Pacific cartel. The official reported that Guzmán was transferred to Mexico City, despite the continued attacks in Sinaloa.

After the capture of Ovidio Guzmán, son of El Chapo Guzmán, the adjacent states to Sinaloa are reinforcing their security at their common borders. Sonora, Durango, Chihuahua, and Nayarit are very attentive to the possible consequences that the capture of the wanted criminal may cause. In Sinaloa, violence has broken out throughout the state and several highways and airports have been blocked.
