The port will be a starting point to travel to Islas Marías, which will help the economy of the city

MAZATLÁN.- Governor Rubén Rocha Moya has recently arrived from the Marías Islands, and assured that the destination that will benefit the most from this new tourist complex will be Mazatlán, “without a doubt,” said the Governor of the State of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya.

He explained that Mazatlán will be one of the points where the ferries will be leaving, which will promote tourism and therefore, economic benefits.

“I think that Mazatlán will benefit a lot, particularly, on the 21st it will start here. The boat is first class, very good, very well equipped, it will be Mazatlán where there will be the greatest influx, it is the point with the greatest probability”, explained Rocha Moya.

Recommended for tourists?

“Yes, it’s worth it, it’s worth it,” he added.

The journey will last at least 4 hours by ferry, leaving Mazatlán, arriving directly to the Islas Marías, so you can enjoy a trip as if you were on a small cruise, something that will be a “plus” without Doubts.

About lodging, the houses that were previously in that area were modified as centers, because hotel chains will not be allowed to enter, or at least not at this time.

“Very pretty; it’s very nice. I slept in one of the houses that are rented, there will be no hotels. Very well equipped, it is very beautiful,” he said.
