Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The promotion of Sinaloa and some events in the municipalities will be limited to social networks and in some brochures, as stated by the Secretary of Tourism in the State, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres.

After questioning him about the statements made by the governor, Rubén Rocha Moya, about excessive expenses in travel expenses to the Fitur by the former secretary of Sectur, María del Rosario Torres Noriega, Benítez Torres said that he has not had any report if the expenses were exceeded , for which he said that the Secretariat will be focused on promoting destinations through the Internet and brochures.

“Now that you were asking me what to do to promote this type of activity, right now we do it through social networks, which are the cheapest and reach a lot of people… We are making one for Sinaloa, a brochure that talks about all the municipalities in Sinaloa, but we use a flyer, a triptych that brings photos of everything that each municipality has, because that way we are going to promote it even abroad,” he commented.

The state official said that for this 2023 the same budget for expenses in the Sectur of 2022 of around 145 million pesos will be maintained, which, he said, represents another challenge given the increase in tourism and thus generates a higher Lodging Tax, indicated that it is good, since the Sectur receives another fund to continue promoting the State and its destinations.
