The event aims to raise funds to support educational facilities that were vandalized during the pandemic

MAZATLAN. – The traditional gastronomic festival returns to Mazatlán after two years of absence.

This edition’s main objective is to raise funds to provide them to a social cause, and it will be in charge of the Rotary Club of Mazatlán on December 4.

The secretary and coordinator of this festival, Óscar Tirado Tirado, announced that for this occasion the funds raised will be donated
for the rehabilitation of public schools in Mazatlán.

He commented that the donation will be very helpful, since the schools have not been able to recover from the two years of pandemic.

“Everything that comes together is going to be donated or invested in schools that were prey to vandalism, now due to the pandemic there was no one to watch them, all the bathroom facilities were stolen, what is the plumbing, electrical wiring, everything was stolen They came and asked us for support and part of what is collected goes there,” he said.

The gastronomic festival will be the 28th edition, and it will take place in Plazuela Zaragoza on December 4, starting at 12:00 p.m., locals and visitors will be able to taste good dishes on the site.

In the place there will be a wide variety of foods such as paella, roast beef, champurrado, tamales and Mexican snacks, which will be donated by businessmen and volunteers who will join this cause.
