Sinaloa police will be vigilant so that the crime is not glorified for ‘Halloween’ festivities


It will be from October 31 to November 2 when the public security elements will be anticipating that people violate the rule of law with their characterizations.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The upcoming festivities, such as Halloween and the celebration of the Day of the Dead in Sinaloa, will have restrictions regarding the characterizations that in past years used to be made in which, reference was made to the glorification of the crime in drug trafficking issue.

However, Carlos Alberto Hernández Leyva, Undersecretary of Public Security in the State of Sinaloa, stated that the State Police authorities, together with the National Guard and the Secretary of Public Security and Municipal Traffic, will be monitoring bars or premises for private parties do not incur in allowing the celebration with the aforementioned clothing.

“That the people who are going to celebrate do so, let’s say so, in a plane without violating due process, due right,” said the Undersecretary.

With the above, the objective is to prevent them from carrying plastic weapons, boody dolls, and cars with simulated gunshots, among other actions that usually send a message of blood and violence.

The operation will be in force from October 31 to November 2.
