Every weekend the Secretary of Public Security will be making tours of the boardwalk area to remove anyone who is ingesting intoxicating beverages after 11:00 p.m.
Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- Various operations by the Ministry of Public Safety and Municipal Traffic (SSPyTM), are being implemented in the port, such as the inspection of motorcycles, breathalyzer and removal of people who are consuming intoxicating beverages in the area of Av. del Mar as well as in AV. Quirino Ordaz, as announced by the Secretary of Public Security in Mazatlan, Simón Malpica Hernández.
The Secretary said that last weekend the operation began on the boardwalk, since a group of motorcyclists stood outside a bar to drink, so they were removed from the place.
It will be after 11:00 p.m. that no one without exception will be able to consume intoxicating beverages in the area of the boardwalk and the police elements must invite them to leave, but at no time should they be detained for that reason.
“After 11:00 p.m. onwards, it is forbidden to eat on public roads, they are given a notice to withdraw and if they ignore it, they will be sent to the railing,” said Malpica Hernández.
Simón Malpica invited citizens to report if they see people consuming intoxicating beverages in those areas, since the operation is active.
