The head of the Sedectur, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, highlights that due to its attractions, businessmen seek to invest in this tourist destination.

Madrid, Spain.- Madrileños were fascinated with the beauty, culture, and flavor of the Pearl of the Pacific, during the start of Mazatlan Week in celebration of Hispanic Week in this country, which takes place from 4 to 12 of this month.

On this first day of activities, the hubbub of the Mazatlan International Carnival was present with the beauty of the queens of the maximum Mazatlan party in its 2022 edition, and the delicious cuisine that distinguishes the port nationally and internationally.

MAZATLAN WEEK IN CELEBRATION OF HISPANIC HERITAGE WEEK

gastronomic workshop was given to Spanish, local and national media, in which those present learned the culinary arts of Mazatlan, and were delighted with delicious dishes from the port of Mazatlan created by the Mazatlan chef, Marcela Zamudio.

The Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, highlighted that Mazatlan is a tourist destination that has a lot of history, culture, gastronomy and music to offer to tourism and businessmen who bet on investing in this city.

He specified that Mazatlán is completely renovated, and that, although it is true that the pandemic affected it, this tourist destination managed to renew itself faster, and proof of this is that in 2020 and 2021 it was the city that reported the highest percentage of hotel occupancy at the national level.

“Come to share a little of what Mazatlán is, because it is a fashionable destination , a destination with a lot of history, we have the most important carnival in Mexico, one of the most important in the world with more than 124 years of history. It was very valuable for us to make this synergy”, he highlighted.

Prior to the start of this series of events, last Saturday, October 8, a strategic meeting was held with Ximena Caraza Campos, General Director of Casa de México, and collaborators, to detail the agenda and activities to be carried out.
