The 1873 Observatory dressed up, with Sinaloan businessmen from other states but also from other countries who fell in love with the attractions of Mazatlan.
MAZATLAN.- With a view of the sea and a sunset that was appreciated from the Mazatlán 1873 Observatory, Grupo ARHE and the World Trade Center Association presented the new project of the World Trade Center Mazatlán to businessmen of the port.
Juan José Arellano Hernández, president of the Board of Directors of Grupo ARHE, mentioned that this project, which will have an approximate investment of 200 million dollars, will transform Mazatlán and put it in the eyes of the world.
“It has always been with the intention of seeing what other things they are doing in other parts of the world, what do we want from the World Trade Center? We want that accompaniment, we want to avoid those mistakes, with those areas of opportunity that they have already capitalized on”, he declared.
Arellano Hernández pointed out that the idea is to innovate with a vertical city, with many services, dynamic, but above all self-sustaining and friendly to the environment.
He added that the World Trade Center will be built in what is currently the Plaza de Toros, seeking to rescue the area with a business center, residential condominiums, a business class hotel, medical services, and a shopping mall.

Within his experience as CEO of the World Trade Center in Montevideo, in Uruguay, Ignacio Del, wished Mazatlan success and although it was his first time in the port, he added that the destination has a future to be part of the World Trade Center Association.
“I have no doubt that (this project) is going to be successful and I hope they can accompany Juan José, they make Uruguay want to also accompany, good luck with the legacy and sustainability… I think that this place not only has an excellent location but It also has a lot of history behind it,” he added.
A project for future generations
Robin van Puyenbroeck, Executive Director of the World Trade Center, indicated that it is to be applauded that a project is visualized for future generations and concerned about sustainability, which provides certainty of the transformation of the area.
“This is my first time in the Pacific and we are very impressed by the vision of the project in Mazatlan and in everything that Mazatlan is going to transform,” he said.

For the Secretary of Economy in Sinaloa, Javier Gaxiola Coppel, the arrival of a project like the World Trade Center will not only bring growth and a value chain to Mazatlan but to Sinaloa, placing it in the eyes of the world.
“It was very good for me that they entered this project, Robin, trust is in good hands and the issue of the World Trade Center is not only real estate development, it is what comes with it, what it brings to Mazatlan and Sinaloa, it is a well-woven network of trade relations”, he commented.
The dinner was four courses and was enjoyed while hearing about the project. The businessmen served themselves in a mixture of land and sea, publicizing the value of Sinaloa cuisine for foreigners.
