Sinaloa will color 17 communities and stately towns

MAZATLÁN.- With the clear idea of ​​contributing to the improvement of the urban image in the communities and stately towns, the Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, María del Rosario Torres Noriega; the director of Promotur, José Alfonso Reséndiz Memije, and the undersecretary of Economy, Ahuizotl López Apodaca, announced the details of the “Coloring Sinaloa” program. 

It seeks to empower a total of 17 communities in 12 municipalities of Sinaloa, divided into North, Center and South; the purpose is to preserve, beautify and promote areas with a tourist vocation in rural communities.  

For this reason, an agreement was signed for the State Development Plan 2022-2023 with Corazón Urbano AC, a non-political or non-profit association that has been working since 2010 in search of strengthening the social fabric in low-profile neighborhoods. socioeconomic. 

Torres Noriega said that the program is to paint the facades of communities and rural areas, as well as Stately Towns that have great tourist potential, but that require more support in this regard, especially in municipalities that do not have sufficient resources. 

“The idea is to enhance tourism in all communities, in addition to making Social Welfare feel, for this reason a collaboration agreement was made to apply public resources, this program is based on a collaboration agreement approved by the council of Promotur and Sectur”, he pointed out.  

Reséndiz Memije pointed out that the works will start in 15 days in the southern part of Sinaloa with five communities, then in the Center, where there will be four, and everything will culminate in the North, where there will be eight towns; the actions are estimated to last 60 days.  

Stately Towns

“With this program we are going to reach every corner of the state of Sinaloa, to benefit the population, the most important elements that this program throws is the improvement of the image of the populations,” he stressed.  

The investment that will be made in the improvement and painting of facades will be 6.2 million pesos, which will benefit 6,800 people; During the first stage of work, it is estimated that more than 113 thousand square meters of surface will be painted, in a total of 17 communities and 12 municipalities.  

With this project, it is proposed to hire about 1,700 people from the same communities, who will receive social presentations and could generate a daily salary of up to 700 pesos.  

With this program, it is also sought that Sinaloa show off its communities and stately towns, since a window will be opened to boost tourism and the economy, where residents can not only offer handicrafts, but also typical or regional foods that complete the tourist attraction.  

The work will begin in Teacapán, in the southern part of Sinaloa, and different communities from the different municipalities of the state will be added, where a plan already exists and also so that the same inhabitants are integrated into the project.
