Mazatlan.- Although the tropical storm “Madeleine” weakens as it moves away from the Sinaloan coast, it continues to be felt with its effects in southern Sinaloa, and this Tuesday morning it woke up Mazatlecos with calm and heavy rains in some areas.

The National Meteorological Service of the National Water Commission forecasts heavy rains in Sinaloa for this day, from 75 to 150 millimeters; and for Mazatlan rainfall with an accumulation of 52 millimeters of water, for which the population is asked to be aware.

Reports from some users of social networks indicate that in neighborhoods such as Casa Redonda, Francisco I. Madero, Hacienda del Seminario, Infonavit Conchi, Villa Tutuli and Las Mañanitas there were calm rains that lasted only minutes and the “chipi chipi” continues.

While in neighborhoods such as El Toreo, Santa Teresa, Pradera Dorada, El Toreo, Lomas de Mazatlán and El Centro, the rainfall was heavy, however, no serious damage was reported, only the flooding of some streets.

It should be noted that due to the downpours that ” Madeleine ” is leaving in Escuinapa, the State Civil Protection ordered the suspension of classes, while in the remaining 17 municipalities school activities continue normally.

-Escuinapa: The area where the suspension of classes was determined, abundant rains between 2:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. with storm outbreaks at 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
-Guasave: Rains between 11:00 and 14:00 hours with temperatures from 24 to 29 degrees with a thermal sensation of 33º; scattered showers from 6 to 9 in the morning.
