After two men were executed this Thursday morning in the Golden Zone of Mazatlán, the secretary of the City Council, Édgar González Zataráin, said that this situation does not turn on the red lights in the city, much less worry, since they are situations that Unfortunately they happen not only in Mazatlan but in all of Sinaloa.

The municipal official said that events like this are part of the problem that has not been eradicated in Mazatlan; however, these cases that are presented in an isolated manner do not have an impact on the tourism issue, since it is more the certainty of growth in the city.

“It is part of what has not been eradicated, there are still unfortunate events like these, but it is more the inertia that growth brings tourism. Fortunately, these events have not overwhelmed us and we are not in a crisis situation, it is still a focus there, but it is not a problem in terms of security or tourism. No, in particular, I do not see it that way, obviously, we have to deal with that, but it is not an impact that has to put us in a dynamic of pressure or concern, “said Edgar González.
Despite the fact that the violent event occurred on one of the busiest strips of Mazatlán, both by locals and tourists, González Zataráin assured that the Pearl of the Pacific is at its best in terms of security, especially if you compare the figures with other cities in Sinaloa.
