The director of the Administration of the National Port System in Mazatlan pointed out that the high season for the arrival of cruise ships begins in October.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- It will be in October when the high season for cruise ship arrivals in Mazatlan begins and it is expected that more than 50 will arrive at the end of the year, said Mariel Aquileo Ancona Infazón.

The director of the Administration of the National Port System in Mazatlan, commented that throughout September a cruise will arrive a week and from next month it will increase to four or five per week. Each ship that arrives at the port brings around 3,800 passengers and approximately 3,000 people get off to enjoy the attractions of the destination .

“Here in Mazatlan it is the place where more passengers get off by cruise passengers because of the facilities that the terminal has and that the municipality provides,” he said.

He announced that next week shipping line executives will visit the destination to analyze the possibility of increasing their stay for a few more hours.

“Work continues to extend the stay of cruise passengers, it is something that has not been defined and it will be next week when they come to do tests to begin to define that possibility,” he said.

Ancona Infazón pointed out that this type of international visitor is repetitive, other times they return by cruise ship and others by plane .
