The director of the Api in Mazatlan, Mariel Aquileo Ancona Infazón, reported that the avenue is going in a timely manner despite the rains that have occurred.

MAZATLÁN.- Delfín Avenue could be ready by the end of October yes or yes, as stated by the director of the Comprehensive Port Administration of Mazatlán, Mariel Aquileo Ancona Infazón, so we Mazatlans could be opening an avenue soon.

He reported that the avenue is approximately 50 percent complete, which is why, although the rains continue, they are seeking to finish by the end of October and help ease the traffic in Mazatlan.

“Right now we are doing well, I think we finished at the end of October and I say I hope, not because they are not working, but because some terrible rains have fallen, we had to open a larger channel so that it would not flood where it is, but let’s go fine,” he declared.

Another of the setbacks that occurred to them was the discoveries of vestiges of the Aztatán culture, where the National Institute of Anthropology and History had to intervene in the excavation and the protection of what was found.

So far, Ancona Infazón pointed out, no vestiges have been found and they continued with the work as normal during the following weeks.

What are they wearing?

The director of API Mazatlán explained that, so far, the left lane of this section of the new avenue is ready, as well as its sidewalks and the luminaires, from the Chulavista subdivision to Paseo del Atlántico avenue.

“The entire left side is ready and on the right side they are already starting, it already has many lamps in place and installed, we already have all the part of the water infrastructure installed, in fact, all that goes to Cerritos is already working on the new,” he said.

This stretch of avenue, according to Ancona Infazón, is being done with a budget of approximately 153 million pesos; its first stone was placed in October, being the last banner of former governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel.

The work has a length of 1,800 meters, a width of 40 meters; two circulation lanes of 3.5 meters each, plus a 2.5 meter lane for parking; In addition, it will have 3-meter sidewalks and wide ridges with a bike path in the middle.
