Mazatlan. – The general secretary of the Concanaco Servytur of Mexico, Guillermo Romero Rodríguez celebrated the “good streak” that the port of Mazatlan is having during this holiday period.
He even recalled that Mazatlan is in one of the first five most visited destinations in the country and that no one stops the port.
“Without a doubt we are happy for what the port is going through (…), I think that today Mazatlán has consolidated a lot, it is coming very strong and I see it very difficult for them to stop it, I think that today the concern is to continue working on giving very good services, really high quality, to have a stronger and more solid destination”
Likewise, Romero Rodríguez explained that, in this holiday period, the port has an average occupancy rate of 90 percent.

In previous days, Guillermo Romero pointed out that of the total number of visitors that the port receives, 95% corresponds to national tourism, thus giving only 5% to foreigners.
He even said that derived from the months of July and August, an economic spill of 3.6 billion pesos is expected in Mazatlan, an objective, which so far is according to expectations.
“(The estimate, in spills) for the months of July and August is 3 thousand 600 million pesos, (…) right now we are doing well, the first month behaved very well, I think we are doing very well, and we hope that August we will continue in the same line,” he concluded.
