Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- To make available to tourists the information they require during their stay in the city, the staff of the Tourist Assistance and Protection Center is rotating a care and orientation module in different areas of Mazatlan, reported Astrid Macías Fregoso, head of CAPTA.
The official, accompanied by her work team and the Secretary of Public Security and Municipal Traffic, installed the information module this weekend in the letters of Mazatlán, where they provided attention and guided visitors with the delivery of brochures and flyers of the prevention actions carried out in the port, such as the “Camina Seguro” program.
She commented that the CAPTA personnel in charge of the module attend from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and sometimes, they work in coordination with agents of the Ministry of Public Security and Municipal Transit in raising awareness among tourists on road issues, because A large number of visitors use public transport, such as aurigas, pulmonías and charter trucks to move to different areas of the port.
“We are going to be having this module in different parts of the city…This weekend we are going to be in the letters of Mazatlán, which is one of the busiest points for tourists and locals, we have already been to Carpa Olivera, Callejón Liverpool and we go to different points and also in the El Pescador monument is one of them”, he commented.
Macías Fregoso added that the tourism information and guidance module will be active throughout the vacation period; On the days of arrival of the cruise ship, the areas where tourists travel will be located, such as the bike path, Plazuela Machado, and other points of greatest influx.
