The confrontation that broke out this afternoon in Mexico-Cuernavaca, between police officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security, elements of the National Guard, and criminals allegedly from the state of Sinaloa, has been documented on social networks.
Mexico.- Dozens of photos and videos continue to be shared on social networks that show the day of terror that took place this Tuesday in the middle of the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway, where intelligence agents clashed with a criminal group that, according to the head of the capital police officer, Omar García Harfuch, is from the state of Sinaloa.
The mobilization on the site is intense, specifically on the Mexico-Cuernavaca federal highway at kilometer 28, Colonia San Andrés Totoltepec.
The recordings show the crossfire between police officers from the Ministry of Citizen Security, the National Guard and the criminal group; From each of the sides, the elements tried to take shelter behind walls and vehicles to avoid being hit by the bullets that did not seem to let up.
Likewise, the official units that received bullet impacts are evidenced, as well as a private white car, presumably belonging to the criminals, which was also damaged during the hectic shooting. However, there is a video that has taken special prominence online and it is the one that shows two policemen taking cover behind the door of their patrol car, while a man appears on the ground, without knowing for sure if he is injured.
From afar, the strong sound of the detonations was heard rumbling for a long period of time, sowing fears among the community. In addition, there was also a record of the intense presence of highway patrols, who with their sirens on and at full speed, were driving as reinforcements towards the zone of confrontation in the south of CDMX.
On the other hand, the armed confrontation caused the arrest of private vehicles that were traveling through the area, since the closure of the federal highway in both directions was confirmed, with the presence of personnel from the National Guard (GN) and the Investigative Police ( POI).
Finally, it should be noted that the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office has already started an Investigation folder for the shooting near Topilejo. While the detainees and the arsenal have already been presented for due processing.
