The state governor warns that the seizure of fentanyl could contribute to the withdrawal of this alert to consider Sinaloa one of the most dangerous states for tourists.

Culiacán, Sinaloa.- After the seizure of fentanyl by the Federal Guard and the Attorney General of the Republic in Culiacán, the state governor, Rubén Rocha Moya, said that they hope there will be no reprisals from criminal groups and anticipated that this fact could contribute to the United States withdrawing the warning that it imposed on Sinaloa, considering it one of the most dangerous states for tourists.

“We are going to present the reasons why they cannot have us in the warning alert, we have dropped seven places, we receive Sinaloa in 12th place of the states in the entire country and we are in 19th. And the other, in these things that happen like the confiscation because finally what was the destination of that drug… They must realize that as a government we are making every effort”, he indicated.

He said that as a government they are prepared to maintain order, in the event that a situation arises that involves criminal groups for the confiscation.

“I hope it doesn’t happen, it’s an important confiscation, but we are prepared in case it happens,” he clarified.

It should be remembered that in recent days the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) made the largest seizure of fentanyl that has been made in Mexico after finding 542 kilos of this drug, among other substances, inside a warehouse located in Culiacán, with a value of 4 thousand 642 million pesos.

For this reason, he said that they are happy with the result that was achieved in the Sinaloa capital, since this product was going to destroy many lives, since it is a highly dangerous drug, in addition to the fact that it was a very important seizure, which has been cataloged by the Federation as a historical fact.
