MAZATLAN.- Be careful here, rains that could accumulate from 25 to 50 millimeters are expected this Tuesday, July 5, in the southern area of ​​Sinaloa, as announced by the National Meteorological Service, SMN.

The municipalities that are on the radar are Mazatlán, Elota, Concordia, Rosario, Escuinapa, San Ignacio and Cosalá, who will maintain cloudy conditions with precipitation and winds of up to 40 kilometers per hour, due to a storm north of Nayarit, which will It feeds on the wide influx of moisture provided by Hurricane “Bonnie” , as well as the Mexican monsoon that is still active.

Already within the central Sinaloa area: Culiacán, Navolato, Badiraguato, Costa Rica, Guamúchil and Mocorito, conditions with rain and thunderstorms are expected to occur shortly after 2:00 p.m., so caution is requested.

In the north of Sinaloa, specifically in Ahome, El Fuerte, Choix and Guasave, intense heat is forecast, although in Sinaloa municipality drizzles are forecast mainly in the afternoon, also after 2:00 p.m.

For Wednesday it is estimated that category 3 hurricane “Bonnie” will be much more noticeable, more for the south and part of the center of Sinaloa, where the rains could be present throughout the day.

At the same time, it is estimated that the waves are high in the coastal area of ​​between three and four meters, indications of State and Municipal Civil Protection are not ruled out.

For Thursday cloudy skies, rains and showers are estimated. While from Friday to Sunday clouds are also expected, although without major affectation.

It is estimated that “Bonnie” will degrade to a tropical storm, further from the coast of Mexico, 1,705 km west-southwest of Punta Eugenia, Baja California Sur, although its remnants will continue to be active due to its extensive cloud cover.
