Mazatlan cultural day celebrated with a free cultural and environmental workshop, find out where and when

MAZATLAN. – With a talk on the toxicity of chemicals in the home and a practical workshop on organic cleaners, the civil association Conselva, Costas y Comunidades will be present at the Cultural Day of the Sinaloense Institute of Culture, in the Francisco I. Madero neighborhood.  

The day will be from July 4 to 8, its activities are free and are done with the intention of reinforcing the social fabric through art and creating awareness around the environment, gender violence and bringing art closer, with organizations and groups Mazatlecos.  

In addition to Conselva, the direction of Ecology of Mazatlan will present a workshop on recycling and reuse of plastics and other materials; there will be the “Kids Symphony” orchestra, there will be theater, plastic arts workshops by the Art Museum team, the collective Sirenas Negras will give painting classes, as well as embroidery and cast net workshops.  

The feminist collective Periferia Subversiva will hold a workshop to detect violence and abuse against girls and adolescents, which will address self-defense tools. For its part, the Women’s Secretariat will participate in a talk on gender discrimination and violence against women.  

All activities are open to the general public, being the second cultural day held in the Madero neighborhood, on April 27 the groups officially presented themselves to the settlers with activities and dynamics for the whole family.

The activities will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Community Development Center of the neighborhood, located on Plan de Guadalupe street, on the corner of Gustavo A. Madero. Remember that they are free and children, adolescents, and adults can attend.
