MAZATLAN. – The vaccines for the population segment from 5 to 11 years old have not yet arrived in Sinaloa, as confirmed by the Secretary of Health, Cuitláhuac González Galindo, but he estimates that they will arrive at the end of the month and vaccinations will begin.

He mentioned that there will be around 360,000 doses, to be applied to approximately 350,000 minors, achieving a vaccine bank of 10,000 more doses to have as a reserve.

“The vaccines have not arrived, we are waiting for them to give us a new date, more precise so that we can tell you and give you more clarity about it. There are 350,000 children and they are going to send us a little more doses, we already have that too, ”he declared.

González Galindo pointed out that it will be the Pfizer brand, as had already been announced, however, due to logistics issues from the federal level, they did not arrive on June 20 as announced last week.

“We have considered that it be Pfizer, it is what was indicated to us and it is what is going to arrive. We are waiting for about 360 thousand vaccines that we could receive, ”he said.

The application register for the vaccination of minors was opened on June 16. Once the vaccines arrive, they will be distributed to the municipalities and the vaccination centers will be announced.
