José Ángel Tostado, director of Culture in Mazatlan, expressed that on stage they will feature the presentation of talented local artists.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- With activities that mark the presentation of local artists on stages in the Plazuela Machad or a few meters from the Liverpool alley, in the Historic Center, this weekend will be celebrated in Mazatlán to music, with a festival, explained José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, director of the Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism and Arts.

The municipal official explained that this event is already a tradition in the town, an annual celebration that seeks to promote tourist attractions in the area of ​​the Historical Center of this entity, where the cultural heritage of the porteños converges and that is resumed, after a two-year period that was canceled due to the pandemic. 

“The Music Festival is going to be, most likely, it is going to be in Callejón Liverpool, we will look for it and in Plazuela Machado, with local artists, always opening spaces for local artists and this Music Festival that It’s already a tradition.”

In the celebration of this art, it seeks to highlight the talent of the Mazatlán Municipal Arts Center, by being part of the program during that day, which comes to join what has been done since March at the Spring Festival 2022, which will culminate in the first days of July.

Meanwhile, in addition to the events at TAP and Casa Hass, on Fridays and Saturdays in Liverpool alley, a stage with live music is set up from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., as part of Gay Pride month, with the musical presentation of local groups.

As for Pride 2022, Tostado Quevedo mentioned that it was a complete success in the town, taking a radical turn and considerable growth, by presenting three times more allegorical cars, something for which the response of the people was positive, thus generating a more harmonious and respectful environment for members of the LGBT+ community.
