Its head, Astrid Macías Fragoso, expressed that Capta is ready to receive the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health of the University of California San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, one of the most important medical systems in the United States. and of the world.
“It is one of the most important medical systems, two doctors are coming who are going to be giving this first aid and CPR training.”
When and why? The first aid training courses will be held on July 15 and are intended to improve the assistance response of tourist police elements to emergency calls.
Macías Fragoso acknowledged that a series of incidents were recorded during the Easter holidays and for this reason, he wants Capta to be well prepared to react and respond effectively and quickly.
“Precisely during Holy Week and Easter we had, both as tourist police, civil protection, and the administrative Capta team, many incidents at sea, on the beach. That is why we are going to be having this training.”

Gary M. Vilke is a professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate education at Cal Berkeley and his medical school training at UCSD. He also completed a surgical internship and emergency medicine residency program at UCSD.
Vilke completed an emergency medicine residency at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where he also earned his medical degree. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
While Dr. James Killeen is a UCSD Clinical Professor for both the Emergency Department and the Department of Hyperbaric Medicine. He is the director of Information Technology Services for the UCSD Emergency Department. Medical director of San Diego Health Connect. He completed his medical school education at USC and his training at Louisiana Charity Hospital in 1999.
