Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – To offer safer mobility, prioritizing pedestrians and cyclists, in addition to speeding up vehicular traffic, the Municipal Government headed by Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres and the Governor of the State, Rubén Rocha Moya, gave the start of work in Emilio Barragán and Santa Rosa avenues, with an investment of more than 88 million pesos and 67 million pesos, respectively.
During the event, Benítez Torres, accompanied by the state president, highlighted that Mazatlan is celebrating and the honor he feels to work alongside him in the same line for the benefit of the quality of life of citizens and emphasized to the Governor that Mazatlans will thank you.
“This avenue (Santa Rosa) is going to compete completely with the State Government… and we are going to go through Emilio Barragán, that means that we are working along the same lines, together, to ensure that the transformation, which is already taking place, giving in Mazatlan, be a fact”.
The works to be carried out on Emilio Barragán avenue cover a length of 1,332 linear meters and consist of road paving, sidewalks, curbing, lighting, signage, truck stops, garbage cans, benches, bicycle ports, rainwater pipeline and rehabilitation of hydro-sanitary infrastructure, that will benefit 501,441 inhabitants. Investment in paving is greater than 57 million pesos, and hydro-sanitary rehabilitation is greater than 31 million pesos.
Thanks to the good relationship that “Chemist” Benítez has with Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, work also began on Santa Rosa Avenue, between Libramiento III and Colosio Si, with an investment to be executed above 67 million pesos, for the benefit of 25 popular neighborhoods.
The paving and hydro-sanitary work will generate an alternate route for the neighborhoods of 13 de Septiembre, Valle Bonito, La Riviera subdivision, Colinas del Real and Las Mañanitas, among others, improving vehicular traffic and safety conditions that will benefit 501,441 inhabitants in this area of the city.
The length of the work on Santa Rosa Avenue is 1,350 linear meters and consists of pavement, pedestrian crossings and ramps, LED public lighting, truck stops, garbage cans, benches, storm drains and hydro-sanitary pipes.
In his message, Rubén Rocha Moya commented that they are already carrying out executive projects and identifying polygons in which the resources of the Urban Improvement Plan (PMU) will be used, dedicated to popular neighborhoods, which range from 200 to 300 million pesos. , and was authorized by the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The Governor took advantage of his speech to endorse his friendship with Mazatlan and its municipal president.
