The exhibition will be held this Sunday in the Sister Cities park, where 60 businesses will participate.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – With the purpose of supporting new entrepreneurs so that they have a greater scope in the gastronomic and service segment, the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, in coordination with Mercado Rosa, will hold the Gastronomic Entrepreneurial Market this Sunday, June 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Sister Cities Park.

Ana Karen López and Valeria Velázquez, creators of Mercado Rosa, stated that 60 gastronomy entrepreneurs will participate in this first activity with food, drinks and snacks, among others, with a variety of lines, without repeating services or products so that everyone has the opportunity to offer your proposal.

“This initiative was born after the Covid-19 pandemic, because we didn’t have a space, since we couldn’t afford a place where we could sell our products, so we started looking for spaces for all entrepreneurs who want to join, promote their businesses, create alliances and help each other grow,” he said.

For his part, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, stressed that through the municipality new segments are supported so that they have the opportunity to offer their products and brands in the locality.

The Sedectur and Mercado Rosa are in charge of the Gastronomic Entrepreneurial Market that will take place this Sunday in Mazatlan.

“All these types of actions are giving us palpable results. It is important to make the new products of entrepreneurs visible, as a way to support the survival of businesses, beyond the two years that the statistics mark, which indicates that in that time, 85% of new businesses close,” he said.

SUPPORT FOR FOUNDATIONS

As a complementary part of the event, two foundations will be supported: the Mazatlán Food Bank, with a donation of non-perishable food, and Amigo de los Salvajes, an association that requests a space to display animals for adoption.
