Ferromex will sign agreements with the City Council to promote important projects for Mazatlan

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- With the main objective of reaching agreements so that vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and the train can coexist, all with a security strip, the deputy director of Public Management of Ferromex, Jorge Peralta Sánchez, held a private meeting with the municipal president of Mazatlán

Peralta Sánchez specified that the idea is to be able to achieve safe circulation for all, and for this reason, Ferromex personnel will be in the municipality for 14 days to carry out a survey and prepare the executive projects, in order to have more than one ready for September, and thus begin with the management of the appeal before the Federation.  

“We are planning with the mayor and his team to see each other in a couple of weeks to sign agreements that allow safe circulation for everyone; for the vehicles, as well as for the cargo trains that leave the API, which also have the long itinerary that crosses the city from south to north.

“Just what we agreed on today is that we have to do an executive project and a survey on the site, that is work that is going to be done in these two weeks in the municipality, and we hope to see each other in about 15 or 20 more days around here. again,” he noted.  

In this regard, Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres hopes that Ferromex will allow the municipality to build a fast circuit from the “General Rafael Buelna” Airport to a well-known hotel in the destination, which would have a great impact for Mazatlán. 

“It is very likely that they will allow us to build an avenue that will be a fast circuit for Mazatlan in the fields that belong to them under concession by the SCT, and if we manage to be given that, which is not given, it is under concession, we could make a fast track here in Mazatlan, which would come from the Airport to the entrance of the RIU Hotel, next to the road, “he said. 

The deputy director of Public Management of Ferromex, went to the office of the Presidency this Friday to hold a private meeting “with the “Chemist” Benítez, and said that he will return in about 20 more days with preliminary projects.
