Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – Councilors of the Mazatleco Council proposed before the plenary session the creation of a municipal care coordination for the LGBT+ community.

Paulina Sarahí Heredia, commented that said opening would be with the purpose of giving the transversal application to their needs and with it, eradicate the discrimination suffered by the people of said community in the municipality.

It was in the general affairs of the Ordinary Session of the Cabildo, number 14, where this initiative was proposed so that it generates positive actions and creates an environment of respect, tolerance and firm operations in favor of human rights, which lead to a better quality of life in individuals.

The Mazatlan mayor argued that with this action Mazatlan could be a benchmark at the state and federal level as it is the first municipality to have said creation with actions aimed at supporting and attending to their recurring needs in health, education, training, work, culture, sports. and administrative processes required by these groups.

“In the same way and through continuous training processes, the issue related to equality, human rights, among others, will become better public servants with greater openness and a better vision and awareness of the needs of the vulnerable population,” he said in his speech.
