Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- A smaller practice vessel (boat) from the Mazatlán Merchant Nautical School, with seven crew members on board, capsized in front of Playa Pinitos as a result of the strong swell in the port.

Immediately upon giving the report through C-4, the aid and rescue bodies made up of Civil Protection, lifeguards, Tourist Police, Red Cross, and the Mazatlan volunteer Fire Department, mobilized to the scene.

A section of Paseo Claussen Avenue was closed so that the different corporations could work.

Fortunately, the elements of the Aquatic Rescue Squad managed to rescue each of the boat’s crew members safe and sound; only one presented blows to the face, and the others apparently got a big scare after what happened.

In the area of ​​Playa Pinitos, the Red Cross paramedics were already waiting for them with oxygen tanks, stretchers ready and everything necessary to provide first aid, but it was not necessary to transfer anyone to receive medical attention.

With the support of a rescue boat from the Secretary of the Navy, it was possible to get the overturned boat out of the sea to put it on dry land.

The fact, which alerted the different aid and rescue bodies, did not happen to majors, only in a great scare for the seven crew members of the Mazatlán Merchant Nautical School.
