The Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries explained that one of the main challenges they have is to attract national and international chains of 5-star hotels, as well as important and exclusive restaurants.

MAZATLAN. – Restaurants such as “Mochomos y Cuernos” could arrive in Mazatlan very soon, as reported by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas.

These restaurants belong to Grupo Costeño, and their goal is to satisfy the senses and character of diners through exclusive cuts of meat and first-class facilities. 

The secretary explained that one of the main challenges they have is to attract national and international 5-star hotel chains, as well as important and exclusive restaurants so that the port has greater diversity for tourists seeking another type of experience.  

“It is also time to bring important meat chain restaurants that are in the large chains in Mexico; many of them have already reached out and been in conversation with us,” she expressed.  

They go for more! The fact that Mazatlán was the number 1 destination in Mexico in hotel occupancy also caught the attention of large shopping malls and although he did not reveal more information, the official announced that a project will be reactivated in the Marina Mazatlán area, an area where it will also be built. a 5 star Hilton hotel.  

Another area that will also wake up will be the Golden Zone with the Camino al Mar shopping plaza, where there are already 20 business units from the restaurant sector ready to look for chains, start up and generate economic benefits.  

“Here in Mazatlan we are open to growth and high-level shopping malls are already looking for us to talk,” he said.

According to the secretary, there are currently 13 hotels under construction and others are in the process of looking for spaces for their establishment. The good news here is that the growth is happening in different areas and not just in one specific area.
