Parks with botanical features are planned to be created

MAZATLAN. – A new tourist attraction is coming to Mazatlan, it is about the beautification of the Sábalo-Cerritos area, as reported by Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres.

He explained that all this will be thanks to three important businessmen from Mazatlan, who will sponsor different areas such as ridges and accesses to the sea under a unique project that will give the port a distinctive touch.

“That area is going to be beautified, it’s going to look like new and we’re going to have professional help.”

This new project will be in charge of the landscaper Tonatiuh Martínez, a native of Monterrey, Nuevo León, who has already participated in the improvements of the Sábalo-Cerritos area.

In his words, this makeover will be like having a new tourist attraction that will mark a before and after in the city.

Although no further information was revealed, it is planned to make parks with botanical characteristics that will conserve the endemic vegetation of the region. Which makes it the first project of its kind in Mazatlan.

“It is a very significant project for Mazatlan and I think it will mark a turning point.”
