The Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, Rosario Torres Noriega participates in the Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The president of the Florida and Caribbean Cruise Association, Michelle Paige, recognized Governor Rubén Rocha Moya’s interest in positioning Sinaloa as a national power in terms of receiving cruise ships and cruise passengers.

Prior to the inauguration of the Seatrade Cruise Global -the largest event in the cruise industry in the world that takes place in the Miami Convention Center- , he congratulated the Mazatlan destination for its willingness to work to improve based on the recommendations made by the FCCA to the government of Sinaloa.

For her part, the head of the state Sectur, Rosario Torres Noriega, reiterated the commitment to promote Mazatlan and Topolobampo to shipping lines to achieve more cruise ship arrivals at Sinaloa ports.

“We reiterate our commitment to continue working together to promote shipping lines and obviously get more arrivals for Mazatlan and Topolobampo,” he said.

Companies and professionals from the cruise industry participate in the event and it is considered the most important fair as it is attended by leading cruise companies such as Carnival Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean.

Both companies represent more than 70% of the market share and have Mazatlan among the ports of arrival, during the journey of their vessels through the seas of Mexico.

In Miami, Florida, officials toured the facilities of the “Seatrade Global” Expo and the stand where Mazatlan has a space to serve industry executives.

Seatrade Cruise Global houses companies from various lines of business related to the cruise industry, including entertainment, environment, health, operations, hotel concessions, ports and destinations, security and shipbuilding, among others.
