MAZATLAN. – Under the theme “Canine, cat friendship and connection with the sea”, the Mazatlán Ecological Council and Luciérnaga Interaction will hold the fourth Mazatlán Naturalist Fair, as part of the awareness of a sustainable society.  

It will be held on Isla de Los Chivos this weekend, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with free access to the event

The event will be held this weekend, on the Isla de los Chivos, at the “Abuelito Richard de la Isla” restaurant, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with free access and where you can attend even with your pets.  

There will be workshops and activities by teachers from the Luciérnaga Interaction Naturartistic School, as well as dances, photographic exhibitions and music; there will also be activities with pets, and sustainable products for sale.  

What is Firefly Interaction? is a cultural, artistic and educational project, whose purpose is to contribute strongly and in an innovative way towards a sustainable, loving, knowledgeable and rich society in experiences and interaction with nature.  

Among the participants in the fair, will be Fernando Manjarrez with the creation of sand figures that represent two species of fauna that visit Mazatlan seasonally, the olive ridley turtle and the humpback whale.  

To the event, the organizers recommend that you bring comfortable clothing, an umbrella, water and sand toys.  

Currently, they are also promoting a raffle with a cause, for the construction of a dry toilet in the CEMAZ facilities. The price of the ticket is $50.00 pesos and the numbers go from 0 to 100. Among the prizes are plants, scrubs, sustainable items and local artisans.  

Once the money is raised, they will invite those interested in the bio-construction process, they will explain its functionality, the inputs that are needed and how it is used for common use.
