Mazatlan OAP cleans Brujas beach with over a ton of garbage collected

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- To offer safe and quality beaches in the city, the Mazatlán City Council, through the Operadora y Administradora de Playas, carried out another cleaning day this Saturday in an area of ​​Cerritos to raise awareness and give a good impression tourism and the local population.

Roberto Terrones Cortés, head of the paramunicipal, said that this activity carried out on weekends is part of an already established rotation and cleaning schedule, where the general public can participate and different groups and associations such as environmentalists, schools diverse and dependencies of the Municipal Government.

He specified that in the days they carry out on Saturdays they have removed more than a ton of PET material, that is, all kinds of plastics used in containers and bottles of soft drinks, water and oil, among other products, that some people leave in the sand , this work is independent of the cleaning program that they have permanently with paramunicipal personnel.

On this occasion, more than 60 people participated voluntarily in the clean-up day starting at 6:00 a.m. at “Brujas” beaches, in the Cerritos area, and for next weekend they plan to carry out this activity on the beach “ First steps”.
