Culiacán and Mazatlán: these are the most violent neighborhoods for women

The head of SeMujeres, Teresa Guerra Ochoa, revealed that the southern area of ​​Culiacán is the most affected in terms of violence and recorded findings against women. In that sense, she stated that it is the Huizaches, Lázaro Cárdenas, and López Mateos neighborhoods that are shown with red lights.

“In Culiacán is the area we would say south, which is a polygon between Huizachez, Lázaro Cárdenas, López Mateos, we have detected a high incidence of violence and we are also seeing how we bring services there,” he stressed.

In the case of Mazatlán, Guerra Ochoa pointed out that they are the center of the municipality and Villa Unión, the towns with the highest incidence of violence against women.

The official pointed out that, at the state level, the capital of Sinaloa occupies 64 percent of crimes against women, right there she added that it is Culiacán, the municipality in which the largest record of women who dare to denounce during 2022.

He also recalled that the increase in violence in the state has to do with addictions, a subculture of aggressiveness, and the use of weapons.
