Tourists and locals wonder why was the M missing?
MAZATLAN.- It was lost! Where is it? Shall we switch to Anatlan? These were some of the questions asked by both tourists and locals when they realized that the Mazatlan photo stop next to the Family monument was missing the letter “M”.
But don’t worry, it’s not lost, much less stolen, quite the opposite, it suffered damage and the letter M became detached from its base.
The Secretary of Public Safety and Municipal Traffic, Commissioner Juan Ramón Alfaro Gaxiola explained that to avoid any risk with visitors who come to take pictures, personnel from the corporation removed the detached part and put it under guard at the Capta offices, until it is placed again by City Hall staff in its place.
The municipal authorities ask tourists and locals for their understanding, who have expressed concern about what happened since it is the tourists who have been left without the souvenir photo of their time in Mazatlan.
- After more than 12 hours of being withdrawn, the letter M of the photographic parador was placed again, after a detachment that it presented at its base in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, was repaired.
Before 1:00 p.m. yesterday, the Mazatlan letters were already complete, because during the morning one of them had disappeared.
