Sinaloa shares national contest on Magical Towns among its schools

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- Staff from the Sinaloa Tourism Secretariat is promoting the participation of children, adolescents and young people in the National Tourism Culture Contest in schools with the theme “ Magic Towns: Experience, Culture, Tourism and Tradition ”.

Valeria González Peraza, head of the Department of Culture and Tourism Training of the Sectur – Sinaloa, visited the schools “13 de Septiembre”, Ford 31, Lázaro Cárdenas, Remington School and the Western Cultural Institute.

The promotion will continue in other public and private schools with the intention of sharing the call among the teaching staff to motivate the participation of students in this national contest.

According to the rules of the contest, a Magical Town is a town that, through time and in the face of modernity, has preserved its heritage and expresses its expressions in an exceptional way.

The Magical Towns are places with symbols and legends, towns with a history that in many cases have been the scene of transcendental events, places with magic that give national identity.

The intention of the contest is that the participants know, value, spread, and transmit the emotion and pride of having the natural attractions, traditions, history, and culture of the 132 Magical Towns that currently exist in Mexico.

The call launched by the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, through the General Directorate of Tourism Professionalization and Competitiveness, allows participation in the categories of: Drawing, poster, photography, video (Tik Tok), and prose thinking.

The winners in the national stage will receive a medal and recognition; the results will be published on Friday, August 12 of this year.
