It is worth mentioning that during Holy Week there will also be a small parade
Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – With positive expectations and safe sanitary measures, the Holy Week celebrations in Mazatlan already have a venue and it will be on Quirino Ordaz Coppel Avenue.
This was reported by the mayor, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, who released some of the details regarding one of the weeks that more tourists come to monopolize during spring break. To do this, he detailed that the biosecurity operation will be identical to last year, with drones and placing obstacles at the accesses to the beaches, this with the purpose of being able to account for bathers.
“We know that it is going to be a very good Holy Week and a very good Easter, plus whatever accumulates.”
“On the beaches we are going to have the drones, we are going to account for people, all the same care, we cannot trust each other. We have already done it, last Easter, remember. A beach was filled and closed,” said the mayor.
In the case of roads, Benítez Torres confirmed that they are already working on a design of safe routes to give traffic circulation. This is how he explained that Quirino Ordaz Coppel avenue, better known by citizens as ‘maleconcito’, will be closed because the greatest attraction will be taking place on that street.
“It’s going to be closed (Quirino Ordaz Coppel avenue). If you analyze that avenue it bumps into another avenue, it doesn’t help us that it’s open because it complicates Insurgentes avenue, which is a very important thoroughfare, in such a way that that’s where it’s going to be the Mazatlan Fest,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that during Holy Week there will also be a small parade, however, the mayor said he did not know the date on which it will take place or the number of cars that will parade.
