MAZATLÁN.- Welcome to the beauty contests, now that the port has positioned itself as an imposing national and international tourist site, Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres will seek to diversify the events that take place in the city.
The mayor pointed out that they are looking for Mazatlan to host the Miss Mexico beauty pageant, which crowns the most beautiful woman in the country, and thus take advantage of and support the former Queen of Carnival 2019, Karla Rivas, who was recently crowned Miss Sinaloa 2021.
“Today that we have a Miss Sinaloa from Mazatleca, we have to push it, it is everyone’s commitment just as we have supported the Queens and Kings of Carnival,” he said.
This contest has been held in cities such as Morelia, Michoacán, Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico City and Chihuahua, Chihuahua.
What is Miss Mexico?
Each contestant represents their state of origin or residence and the winner of the title wears it for a period of about a year, which also participates in the beauty pageant called “Miss World”.
The current Queen of Miss Mexico is Karolina Vidales from the state of Michoacán.
