He said that to this is added the visit of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to Mazatlán on Carnival dates, which sends a message to the nation and abroad that there is a sanitary order in this destination.

“Each one of us has to be responsible, the protocols have been working perfectly well, we are pioneers worldwide of protocols in large groups of people,” he said.

He said that people are very happy with the events of the town festival and that so far he has not received any negative comments.

Regarding the economy, he said that both merchants and businessmen, for the most part, are doing very well, since the economic spill is very large at this time.

“Most are doing very well, because the economic impact is very large and today we have more than ever in history and you can see it anywhere and if you add to that because it is historic and unprecedented, a president of the Republic on Carnival dates we make history”, he pointed out.

Benítez Torres emphasized the importance of the Carnival as the main festival of the town that is passed down from generation to generation.

He said that although the health protocols are working well and perfectly, each person has to be responsible for abiding by the recommended measures.

“Each one of us has to be responsible, the protocols have been working perfectly well, we are pioneers worldwide of protocols in large groups of people,” he concluded.
