People on flights from other countries are invited to take the rapid test voluntarily and free of charge starting this Friday

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- As of this Friday, the Ministry of Health installed a COVID-19 testing module at the “Rafael Buelna” International Airport in the city and port of Mazatlán, in order to detect possible cases of international passengers arriving at this air terminal.

Luis Alonso García Corrales, head of the State Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks of Sinaloa, explained that this activity adds to the work that has been carried out in terms of detection and prevention of COVID, as instructed by the Governor, Rubén Rocha Moya and the Secretary of Health, Héctor Melesio Cuén Ojeda.

“We installed a COVID rapid test module, we are receiving passengers who come from abroad and we invite them to take a rapid test; we have a methodology, the first thing we do is take the temperature, if they have any symptoms we ask them to Please take the test.”

He specified that these tests are quick and free, and people on flights from other countries are invited to take them voluntarily, with results in around 15 minutes.

This work is the result of the meetings, emphasized by the head of Coepriss, that have been held both with the delegation, in Sinaloa, of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation, as well as with the airport and civil aviation authorities.
