Sinaloa will have a very cold weekend

On Thursday, snowfall was recorded in places like Badiraguato, areas of Chihuahua and Durango.

MAZATLAN. – The weekend will be a long weekend, and it will be very cold, so get your coats ready if you plan to go outside, since temperatures will drop, as minimums of up to 7 degrees Celsius are expected throughout the coastal area of Sinaloa, and from –5 to 0º in the mountains that border Sonora, Chihuahua, and Durango. 

In the middle of the first week of February, the intense cold began to be felt throughout the state, including snowfall in Badiraguato, areas of Chihuahua and Durango, due to the Winter Storm.

For the weekend, the National Weather Service reports that there will be clear skies, but frost will remain and a warm environment will continue in the afternoon.  

One of the things that stands out is that the north and northwest wind will dominate between 10 to 25 km/h, as well as gusts of 60 to 70 km/h that will be present punctually in the northern parts of Sinaloa and adjacent to the state of Sonora.  

The Weather Channel has indicated that the lowest temperatures in Sinaloa will be in the north, starting in Culiacán with 10 degrees Celsius, followed by El Fuerte, Sinaloa de Leyva, Los Mochis, Mocorito, and Navolato with 9 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, in Mazatlan, the minimum will be 16 degrees Celsius.

The Meteored.mx Service estimates clear skies for most of the day throughout the state; but with minimum temperatures that will range from 0 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas and 9 degrees on the coasts; the maximum of 27 degrees with solar radiation level. 

It is worth mentioning that the cold front number 28 of this season, as well as the mass of polar air that accompanies it, will cause temperatures to continue to drop, they will continue to drop in temperature.
