Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – The Secretary-General of Concanaco Servytur México, Guillermo Romero Rodríguez, acknowledged that a beach destination like Mazatlán, now that it is well-positioned on the issue, must have a tourist activity, which is why they endorse and support the activity to continue.
“The tourist activity has to continue, Mazatlán lives on tourism. If we close the door to tourism, well, what are we going to live on or what families are going to live on, there is a very sensitive issue that I think is health, but also the activity has to continue, “he said.
He recognized that the Mazatlan International Carnival is highly representative at the national level, but right now there is a lot of uncertainty due to the reservations that are already made and some that have not yet been made, because it is not officially known whether Carnival will take place or not.
Romero Rodríguez, commented that there would be no problem in holding the International Carnival of Mazatlan if all health protocols are complied with, giving us an example the holding of the 106th Assembly of the Concanaco Servytur in León, Guanajuato, where for a month there were parties such as palenques and fair with all the care and protocols.
“People cannot be locked up 365 days a year, we have to take care of ourselves, we have to know how to live with the pandemic. On the issue of Carnival, there are good measures that I have heard from state and municipal authorities, in the sense that Carnival is going to be lengthened, ”he detailed.
In this same line, the business chamber leader acknowledged that there are two very interesting issues that must be addressed, which are the float parade and the Naval Combat.
“So, I think that, solving those two problems and with all the protocols, welcome the party, welcome the International Carnival; Let’s hope that the state and health authorities give the positive and say yes to have a careful Carnival and with protocols,” he added.
