Mayors of Sinaloa join efforts to strengthen tourism

Celestino Gasca, Elota.- On the last day of the work tour of Sinaloa, the Federal Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués met with the Municipal Presidents of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres; from Culiacán, Jesús Estrada Ferreiro; from Cosala, Carla Corrales Corrales; and from Elota, Ana Karen Val Medina who coincided in the joint efforts to consolidate the tourist activity in favor of Mexico and Sinaloa.

Upon welcoming them, Val Medina highlighted that Elota, located in front of the Sea of ​​Cortez, along with Mazatlán, Cosalá, and Culiacán, offer tourists diverse and complementary opportunities since, in this strategic area of ​​Sinaloa, traditional beach sites can be enjoyed but also almost virgin areas, dam, turtle and bird sanctuaries, and therefore the importance of joining efforts to strengthen the tourism industry.

The meeting was also attended by tour operators from Elota and Cosalá with whom he promised to give them support for the promotion of their tourist sites and activities, including making the oyster festival a larger event with greater projection, in addition to promoting nationally and an international surfing tournament in El Patole, in addition to the tourism promotion of Celestino Gasca and Cosalá.

The Secretary of Tourism of the State, María del Rosario Torres Noriega, as well as Deputy Luz Verónica Avilés Rochín, President of the Tourism Commission in the State Congress, also participated in this meeting.
