Due to the covid pandemic they were forced to partially close
Since last January 8, due to the resurgence of Covid-19 infections in Mazatlan, the Art Museum has been temporarily closed, thus complying with the instructions of the health authorities.
“For this reason, we also announce that some events that we had scheduled were suspended.”
The person in charge of disseminating the Museum of this cultural venue, Julio Zatarain announced that they are already working on re-enabling the museum, for which they are already working according to the health protocols that govern the institute and the Ministry of Public Education.
One of the activities that were suspended due to the outbreak of Covid 19 in Mazatlan, was the presentation of the play “Between turkeys and turkeys”, so the new date is about to be announced.
The events scheduled for the month of January that was announced were postponed to February, which are two exhibitions, a play, and a tribute to Óscar Blancarte reported Julio Zatarain.
There will be more than 15 cultural workshops at the Mazatlan Art Museum
Among the most important events on the agenda is the beginning of the art workshops, on February 7; but all this if the pandemic allows it, where there will be 15 courses of different artistic disciplines.
“The purpose is to reactivate artistic creation within the Museum, and thereby create a new generation of artists who thrive on their proposals,” he said.
“The workshops will be taught once a week, from two to three hours, depending on the teacher, and registration will cost 100 pesos and 500 pesos a month, in support of the teacher who will teach the workshop; everyone starts the week of January 31, the schedules vary, next week we will be putting out the general flyer with schedules”, he commented.
It does not matter if the person does not have experience in the field, all workshops are inclusive.
