Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Even with the so-called January cost, the Mazatlán Aquarium, in the first week of this year, continued to register an average entry of approximately 1,400 people per day, announced the director of the attraction, Pablo Gerardo Rojas Cepeda.

“The first week it maintained an average of approximately 1,400 people per day, 1,500 out there, keeping all the prevention protocols for Covid-19,” he explained.

Pablo Gerardo Rojas Cepeda, director of the tourist center, congratulated himself because 2021 closed very well with record attendance for December that was much higher than in previous years with 56,000 visitors.

“There were 56,000 in total and it is expected that this January the influx will drop a little because it is traditionally a month of work,” he added.

Rojas Cepeda said that with the increase in cases in this fourth wave by Covid-19, prevention protocols have been intensified to avoid contagion of both attendees and staff working at the site.

“We have made the protocols and reviews stronger and we never let our guard down in terms of prevention mechanisms,” he asserted.
