Acuario Mazatlán staff combs the shore of Quirino Ordaz Avenue, formerly Bahía; authority calls to deposit the garbage in its place.

MAZATLÁN.- Staff from the Mazatlán Aquarium today undertook a cleaning day in the Central Park lagoon, the work was carried out on the side of the avenue named Quirino Ordaz Coppel, formerly Bahía Avenue.

The director of the paramunicipal, biologist Pablo Rojas Zepeda, gave instructions to carry out this task with which it seeks to contribute to the good image of the port and improve the stay in one of the tourist spots most enjoyed by locals and visitors.

Among the objects extracted in the area, glass bottles, pieces of wood, sheets, cardboard, chip wrappers, paper, cans, and even an old 200-liter drum stand out.

Through a press release, the Mazatlan Aquarium called on citizens so that if they visit Central Park, they deposit garbage in its place and thus avoid contaminating the lagoon, which is a space where various marine and terrestrial species arrive and inhabit.

On other occasions, Aquarium staff have also participated in cleanup days at different points on the beaches of Mazatlan.
