Mazatlan will begin remodeling of Emiliano Barragán, Canseco and Santa Rosa streets

The first on the list will be embellished in its entirety as it is heavily traveled by national and foreign tourism.

MAZATLÁN.- There is nowhere to begin the beautification of Emilio Barragán Avenue, they are only waiting for the approval of the state government, said the director of Public Works of the Mazatlán City Council, Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez.  

He indicated that the work will cost 64 million pesos, that it is a fact that will be carried out, and that it will extend to Francisco Villa Street, where the state government and the municipality will work together.  

Núñez Gutiérrez reported that they are only waiting for the tender to come out, which is expected to be published in the following days.  

“The work is one kilometer 200 meters long, it will consist of completely rehabilitating the re-covering, sidewalks, and the 4 and 8-inch pipes, which are the discharges, will be erected,” he said.  

The official explained that the Emilio Barragán is the first great work with which the municipal government will start this year, then the Carlos Canseco and the Santa Rosa will come.  

Finally, he pointed out that these works will have to begin no later than the month of March when the bids are published.
