Mazatlan mayor will attend World Cruise Convention

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- As said before the end of 2021, the Mayor, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, was suspended due to the pandemic his attendance at the 2022 International Tourism Fair in Spain, however, the municipality has already advanced that he has other tourist trips on the doorstep.

He said that he is already preparing to attend the World Cruise Convention, an event that will take place from April 25 to 28 in Miami, Florida, under the name of Seatrade Cruise Global 2022, hoping that by then there will be better sanitary conditions.

“I am not going to Fitur, but we have other important trips, for example, we go to the World Cruise Convention, at the time. Why? Because it is a tourism that is very important to us. – When would it be? – I do not bring the date right now. – In Miami? – I think it’s in Miami, I’m not sure ”.

Benítez Torres indicated that it is a highly relevant tourist segment for the destination, which motivates authorities like him to seek to participate in these types of events, in order to contribute to the tourist promotion of Mazatlán.

Seatrade Cruise Global is the leading trade fair for companies or organizations seeking or doing business with the international cruise industry.

For the realization of the event in the United States, a strict sanitary protocol is promised.

It is expected to be a meeting point for companies and professionals related to the cruise industry, with Miami being the place where the leading companies in the activity are established, such as Carnival Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean, which represent more than 70 percent of the sector.
